ASME requires all authors on the account to log into the system within 7 days or the submission will be automatically suspended (but not completely removed) from the system. This requirement is to ensure that all authors listed on a paper have complete and accurate information, which has in the past caused delays in completing copyright agreements and preparing the final papers for publication.

The requested steps FOR ALL LISTED AUTHORS should only take a couple of minutes to complete. See below for instructions.

IMPORTANT: If you have not already done so, please login to your account within 7 days of submission to verify that you can view the submission under your account. If you do not have an ASME account, you will be asked to create one.

All authors listed on the submission must log in to their accounts within 7 days or the submission will be automatically suspended by the system.

After login, please go to Submissions > Complete to open the submission.

  • Verify that the paper title and abstract are correct.
  • View the author listing to make sure that the list of authors is correct.
  • Verify that your information is correct. (i.e., your name is spelled correctly, your email address is the one used for your ASME activities)

Your physical login to the account will have satisfied this requirement, even if there is no change to your account. There is no on-screen or email confirmation once completed.
