The Contact/Corresponding Author plays a critical ongoing role throughout the process from setting up co-author accounts to ensuring all deadlines for the paper are met. Following this checklist of responsibilities will help ensure the paper moves efficiently through the process and within assigned deadlines. ASME uses the author order, names, and institution affiliations as they appear in the online submission profile for publication and indexing purposes, regardless of what is listed on the paper.
If any discrepancies are identified between the submission system and the draft file, ASME will contact the corresponding author to make the necessary changes before paper acceptance. If no action is taken on the part of the corresponding author, ASME will proceed using the details provided in the online submission profile. No corrections to author order, names or institution listings will be made after final paper submission.
