82094 - Research on Aerodynamic Axial Force in Single Rotor-Stator Cavity of a Gas Turbine
For gas turbines, the rotor-stator cavity has an important effect on the axial force, and the contribution of the rotor-rotor cavity to the axial force is zero. The influence mechanism of the rotor-stator disc cavity on the axial force is of great significance to the design, balance and adjustment of the axial force. To reveal the formation mechanism of the aerodynamic axial thrust of the rotor-stator cavity in marine gas turbine, a test rig for aerodynamic axial thrust of the rotor-stator cavity and the corresponding numerical model are proposed in this research. The geometric parameters and boundary conditions of the rotor-stator cavity numerical model and test section are modeled by the thermodynamic parameters and operational conditions of the real marine gas turbine. The aerodynamic induced axial force of rotor-stator cavity can be visualized, measured, and directly collected dynamically for the first time. Flow characteristics, pressure distributions in rotor-stator cavity are analyzed, and the reliability of the test method is verified. A PTFE seal ring structure with pressure adjustment function is proposed, which is used to actively adjust the axial force of the rotor in the rotor-stator disc cavity in the experiment. Finally, the structural optimization design of this axial force control seal is carried out.
