127360 - The Influence of Inlet Distortion on Combustion Performance in a Recirculation Combustor
In response to the issue of the influence of compressor outlet flow field distortion on combustion chamber characteristics in the actual operation of gas turbines, a typical non-uniform characteristics of combustion chamber inlet were constructed using the orifice method using a certain reflux model combustion chamber as the research object. The influence of inlet velocity circumferential distortion on combustion chamber working characteristics (including combustion efficiency, total pressure loss coefficient, and OTDF) under different combustion conditions was explored through experiments. The research results indicate that the circumferential distortion form and combustion conditions have a small impact on combustion efficiency, but a significant impact on the total pressure loss coefficient and OTDF (Outlet Temperature Distortion Factor); In the case of high distortion, the total pressure loss coefficient significantly increases; When the non-uniformity of the upper peak inlet increases from 3.87% to 52.39%, the total pressure loss coefficient increases by 2.51% (a month on month increase of 72%), and the OTDF value increases by 8.7% (a month on month increase of 36%); The influence of upper front distortion on OTDF is greater than that of lower front distortion.
